Research 2000 recently conducted a survey testing whether progressive or conservative talk radio shows are more open to callers with dissenting points of view. None of the calls were made to WCOA’s Luke McCoy and his “Pensacola Speaks” show – but I doubt it would have countered their findings.
Fifteen calls with a point of view that was not compatible with the host were made to six radio shows — three progressive (Stephanie Miller, Randi Rhodes, Ed Schultz) and three conservative (Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Rush Limbaugh).
Their findings concluded that all the progressive hosts were more willing to take calls from dissenters than were the conservative hosts. Research 2000’s ranking, in order of accessibility: 1): Shultz, 2) Rhodes, 3) Miller, 4) Ingraham, 5) Limbaugh, and 6) Hannity. Here is the report

Not to beat a dead horse but listen to Luke McCoy trying to pronounce the word ‘citizenry’ he actually thinks it is ‘citizendry’ and goes to great lengths to pronounce it (he thinks) correctly.
Moral of the story: Invest in a high school reader or at least a 5th-graders civics book.
No surprise here. I think our friend Alex exemplifies the ‘conservative’ talke show host or listener. When confronted by unpleasant facts they resort to childish behavior, such as Limabaugh’s use of ‘baby talk’ to criticize someone when words escape his drug addleded brian.
As for Luke McCoy, the man has a 3rd grade vocabulary and the emotional maturity of an infant. These so-called conservatives are in reality just rude bullies. The only conservative I ever respected was William F. Buckley, who had the intellectual chops to defend his views.
