  1. Questioning Authority says:

It would be appropriate for Sindel to step down from the appointment she received from Valentino, now her opponent. It will be interesting to see if she does. I can’t help but wonder if she has been less than completely upfront with him and informative regarding the issues she was privy to because of her appointment by her now opponent. She has filed to run against him. I think it is appropriate for Sindel to step down now.

Appointed by Valentino to the Escambia County Planning Board, you have to wonder if she informed him that his trust in her would turn into a opponet. If she did not tell him she was going to run against him then she’s just another double speak politician.

she sounds like a liberal. this area doesnt want or need knowledgable or informed. ignorance has gotten this area to where it is now, and why change horses in mid stream?

Five opponents in a race will equal a **** shoot. Valentino now has a chance of returning. Will there be a runoff with the top two. If not we could see a winner with only 18-20% of the votes.

I know Karen to be knowledgeable snd informed in all areas. She is the most tactful person I know and deals with people in the most professional way. Escambia County would benifit greatly with her as a member of the Commisssion.

  11. [...] Sindel files for Commission race. Rick’s Blog is reporting that Karen Sindel (R) has filed to challenge incumbent Gene Valentino (R) in the race for the District 2 seat on the Escambia County Commission. This is shaping up to be a crowded race, with four other candidates already filed: former Escambia County Administrator George Touart (R), Robert Kelley (R), Andy Kowalski (R), and Scott Gauvin (NPA). Either that’s a typo or Robery Kelly has the perfect name for an Escambia County Commissioner.
