Mediacom vs. WEAR round-two

Once again the two corporations are battling for Gulf Breeze and Santa Rosa dollars. And Mediacom is threatening to drop WEAR from its line-up unless Sinclair forks over some money. This happened in 2007 when Mediacom dropped WEAR from Jan. 6-Feb. 2.

If Mediacom goes through with its threat again, expect people to move to satellite TV. WEAR has greatly improved its local news coverage in past year. People are more loyal to WEAR than the cable company.

People should go to satellite anyways, everything about Mediacom sucks.

Joe is correct. Mediacom is trying to simply protect the customers from paying more money.

I think it’s the other way around: Sinclair is demanding money to let Mediacom rebroadcast WEAR, which they had done for free in the past because it boosted their ad subscriber numbers.
