The daily newspaper reports today that Charlie Ward, FSU football star and NBA all-star with the NY Knicks, has applied for the head football job at Washington High. We had heard last month that the school alumni, including Derrick Brooks, had been recruiting him to come.

Janet Lander, former county attorney and environmental enforcement special magistrate, ruled yesterday that Sean’s Outpost, the homeless encampment named for the late PNJ reporter Sean Dugas, does not pose a serious threat and set another code enforcement hearing for Feb. 11. We wrote about this venture last year (read here).

This morning Mayor Ashton Hayward and his administrator will host a chat session with the local media. It is the first Morning with the Mayor in over two months. Will the media come with the questions or will they be there just for the coffee and donuts?
