BP media spins

BP Liz Castro (yes, she is still around) yesterday told a group of realtors that BP’s current policy is to only pay claims to realtors on failed property sales blamed on the oil spill if the property is within one block of the beach, according to report by the Daily News.

Castro spoke at town hall meeting hosted by Florida Realtors, the statewide real estate association, at the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors headquarters. She delivered the standard BP line “that “no claim has been denied.” However, the Daily News points out “no local Realtor has received a payment from BP for lost revenues due to a pending home sell canceled by the spill.”

How do Castro and the other BP spokespersons sleep at night?
