Buzz: Jerralds wants Young’s seat

September 29, 2009

The word that I keep hearing is that Pensacola City Councilman John Jerralds is seriously thinking about running for Marie Young’s County Commmission seat. Young told several people during her last campaign that this would be her last term—–but she said the same thing when Gov. Jeb Bush in 2002 and when she got ran in 2004. Jerralds has already started recruiting people for his campaign.

If Young doesn’t run in 2012, Jerralds could face stiff opposition from fellow council member, Jewel Cannada-Wynn, and Lumon May. I wouldn’t count Hugh King out as a possible candidate either.

Marie did giv eher word she would not run, shame on her but the voters need to take her out, Jerrralds is already putting together his team, which by the way will be a losing team, I will personally walk door to door to keep this racist from getting this seat, I know others who will run for this seat who deserve our support, this will be a good race to watch

The community is being represented they way it will always be until someone outside is elected. I knew Willie Junior and Marie Young is no better at bettering her district. I know people who have called in complaints to Code Enforcement about trashy neighbors only to be told to call the Commissioner. It goes no where from there. Marie’s aid and her family are storing roll of containers in their back yard. Someone told me there was something like 40 loaded containers directly behind her house. Until someone comes in and tries to make this district a cleaner safer place, it will remain the same.

Marie was not to run for her position, but the Gov. was afraid to tell her no. When are the people going to take a stand. I know lots of people in her district who just will not vote if they are only presented with the same again.
