Buzz: Papantonio says Progressives aren’t warming up to Crist

July 19, 2013

In a telephone interview today, Pensacola attorney and political pundit Mike Papantonio said Charlie Crist doesn’t appear to be gaining much traction among Progressives around the state of Florida.

Earlier today, Peter Schorsch of SaintPetersBlog.com reported that the most recent Kitchens Group survey showed Crist, who reportedly will be seeking the Democratic nomination in 2014 to run against Florida Gov. Rick Scott, beating Scott by 64-35 percent when those surveyed had to choose between the two politicians and couldn’t reply “undecided.” (BTW: U.S. Senator Bill Nelson had the same margin against the GOP governor.)

“What I am hearing doesn’t mesh with those numbers,” said Papantonio. “From my observations, Progressives aren’t warming up to Crist.”

You may publish: How can you recite the fifth amendment in one hour. What you got to hide. His announcement of 500 jobs was another joke-basically-minimum wage for an India Company. Just what we need around here.
Old Charlie may not be the best, but at least he is 150% over “what are you hiding Scott.”

So the Dems will be pushing for Nelson to run.

No one wants flip flopper Crist.

What may be more telling is some of the liberals I know in the middle of the state are really upset that Scott is becoming a real politician and doing whatever it takes to win re-election. And it may work.

I think at this point, nobody is warming up to Crist.
