Buzz: PNJ building sold, apartments may be coming to downtown

Gannett has sold the Romana Street building that houses its Bella Magazine, GoPensacola.com and the News Journal. No word where the staff will be relocated, but we’ve heard the buyer is interested in building apartments. More to come.

    Yes, good news. In addition to being rental, let’s hope the apartments are affordable. When stationed in the Pentagon, I lived in several apartment buildings in Arlington in walking distance of the Pentagon. Some of them had small grocery/convenience stores, dry cleaner, barbershop/hair saloon, etc. on the ground floor. That would be nice too.
