Press Release: 350 Pensacola calls for the Pensacola City Council to support proposed Climate Change Task Force resolution.

The Pensacola City Council is set to consider a resolution to create a Climate Change Task Force to help our community mitigate the causes and adapt to the impacts of our changing climate. 350 Pensacola calls on the City Council to take this important step and help our community plan for a better future. The creation of such a Task Force will be truly historic for Pensacola and northwest Florida. It will align our community with the many other cities and towns across the country that are smartly taking steps to plan for climate change.

The City Council’s first consideration of this Task Force will take place at the Council’s regular Agenda Conference on Monday, July 14, at 3:30 pm. At this meeting, the Council will review and discuss the resolution, sponsored by Councilwoman Sherri Myers, before the full Council meeting on Thursday, July 17.
