Grand jury clears TEAM Santa Rosa of any criminal charges

October 26, 2012

The Santa Rosa County Grand Jury has completed its review of numerous allegations involving TEAM Santa Rosa, which handled the county’s economic development efforts until this year. The grand jury returned a No True Bill, meaning it found insufficient evidence for the filing any criminal charges.

According to State Attorney Bill Eddins, the grand jury had more than 16 hours of testimony and deliberations over a two-day period.

Amazing how the jury can side with TEAM when the Roche family has a friend on the panel and when the State Attorney himself allowed complaints against TEAM to be ignored, although he once recused himself from prosecuting a case against TEAM’s counsel, Roy Andrews, citing their closeness.

So, Eddins is off the hook for malfeasance by empaneling the jury but was able to present the case in such a way no charges were filed. How these people got away with official misconduct is a gross miscarriage of justice. Shame on the State Attorney. We need someone in that office who will not enable special treatment of some and wrongful prosecution of others.
