McCain/John Rich concert now free

July 30, 2008

The first press release for the GOP-sponsored John Rich (of Big & Rich) concert in Panama City on Friday would cost $10 per ticket. Now it’s free.

According to the News Herald, Democrats have a lot to say about the change in ticket price:

“Although we, and most country music fans, would prefer Big & Rich to McCain & Rich, we remain hopeful that a little ‘Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy’ will wake up the crowd after the snoozer of an opening act,” Eric Jotkoff, Florida Democratic Party spokesman, wrote in a news release. “The fact that the RPOF (Republican Party of Florida) has to give away free tickets proves that even an award-winning county star can’t get North Florida excited about John McCain.”

What’s further, Democrats noted in the release that Big & Rich normally charges as much as $99 for their shows.

Gee is the presidential race a personality contest or is it who has the best speech writers? I’m confused.

Bill was personable too. Ask any of his girlfriends, but was I proud he was prez.?

    I think not.

Pandhandle Red Necks are waiting for the concert folks to give away free gas, free beer, and free guns. Since most members of the republican party in the pandhandle are old church going bible bangers, I do not forsee too many of them showing up. Those who do show up, will have nothing in common with McCain nor will they care what he stands for. They want to get drunk, and find a date with some one who has more teeth then they do.
