News: Has BP disaster saved Crist?

The Daily Beast also reports: Once left for dead in his Senate campaign against Marco Rubio, Florida governor Charlie Crist has used the BP spill to show leadership and rise in the polls.

…It would be a painful irony for the GOP if the oil slick approaching the nation’s shores caused one of the party’s most promising stars—Marco Rubio–to lose his footing.

    Heck, no. This disaster might have saved Crist if he had distributed the $25M from BP to the counties affected by the oil spill.

    But no, he decided to keep that money in Tallahassee and had the unmitigated gall to tell the counties to bill BP if they wanted money.

    Escambia County has billed BP for cleanup expenses, but still hasn’t seen a dime from BP.

    After he scr3wed over the citizens of the panhandle, Crist doesn’t have a hope in h3ll of getting elected senator.

    Good riddance to him!
