Sheriff David Morgan shared this email exchange regarding the rumor that George Touart was working a backroom deal to bring back Armour to handle medical services at the county jail.

It was my understanding that George didn’t want to touch the medical services at the jail…not broken, don’t fix it. However, Rick’s blog and the Sheriff are convinced we are putting together an RFP. Any of you know anything about this?

To my knowledge what you said is 100% correct. We are not preparing an RFP.

Mr. Champagne; Please advise Ms. Lovoy and Ms. Perdue as to why we made this inquiry e.g., one of our former officers was contacted and asked by a representative of Armour Correctional Health Serivices (Santa Rosa Correctional Facility) to get specifics on our current medical staffing, costs, etc. And, that he had been asked by Mr. Touart to prepare a proposal for Escambia County Detention Facilities medical services.

This went far beyond ‘rumors and propaganda.’ That’s why we inquired.

That should be …sarcasm can be easy to miss in writing.

Sarcasm can be hard to miss in writing and I think Ron was being sarcastic in blaming Rick as the reason business isn’t coming to Escambia County.

After all, if Rick didn’t shine a light of the gang of three’s shenanigans, why all would be fine and dandy. Airbus would come to Pensacola because they would be in the dark about how idiotic the gang of three acts and how moronic many (okay, the majority) of their decisions are. So of course it’s all Rick’s fault we don’t have Airbus.

Those three are an embarrassment to Escambia County.

    Ron,
    Your talking in circles.
First you tell us to shut up.
Then you whine about the comments coming from your never-do-bad elected officials.

What god father geno, old Uncle Wilson and George do NOT WANT YOU TO KNOW, Prison Health Services became Armour Correctional Health Services AFTER four deaths resulting from poor medical services. Armour was dismissed by Sheriff Morgan, saving us Tax payers millions in basic medical service and NO LAW SUITES FROM HOMOCIDES OF INMATES BY untrained correctional officers. Please folks, do not believe anything that the gang of three say about running the jail. Ron Mack was a joke, his hired help William’s sole rule were to hire friends, and make money for private contractors. Please May, Barry, Robinson, do not let the crazy old gang of three destroy the current well operated county jail under the leadership of Sheriff Morgan.

Rick has just been called out by Commissioner Valentino and Touart. Seems he is the reason why Airbus and other foreign businesses are not coming to Pensacola. Seems the press and the people need to stop talking negatively about the Escambia County Council because they are doing everything they can to improve the county. There are absolutely no reasons to question the Commissioners personal integrity. It’s just the same 20 people choosing to speak out against them and no one else. It just goes to show if you’re not agreement with everything the council does you’re just considered a miserable individual with nothing to contribute. Very sad to hear this kind of comments coming from a governing body for the People.
