Street level law enforcement

February 12, 2009

Thyrie Bland reports in the daily newspaper that Sheriff David Morgan is walking the neighborhoods.

I spoke with Sheriff Morgan this morning. He is also visiting with neighborhood associations and without any publicity stepped up arrests. Over the past month, approximately 39 drug dealers have been arrested and two meth lab and one crack house shutdown.

“We want the drug dealers to know that it will not be business as usual,” Morgan says.

I wish he would walk the streets of Wedgewood and Rolling Hills.

It is so refreshing to Know we have a Sheriff who promise to take law-enforcement to the neighborhood. He is walking the streets and listening to individuals who knows whats going in their respective neighborhood. It shall be very interesting when the street level dealers start informing on their source’s. Word on the street, some local big shots are starting to get nervous about both the Sheriff’s efforts to seek information about higher up’s, and of course the Fed’s are coming. With Sheriff Morgan’s clean slat, and McNesby dirty history of covering up for the GOB’s, the next few months should be very interesting. FYI:: McNesby can be prosecuted for all illegal acts committed with-in the last two yers of his administration. Bush/Cheney former appointed US Attorney, can no longer protect the GOB’s of Escambia County.
