TSA PreCheck Enrollment Returns Aug. 11-15

Pensacola International Airport will host a temporary TSA PreCheck enrollment center from August 11-15, providing Northwest Florida residents with on-site access to the expedited security screening program.

  • “We’re proud to continue our partnership with TSA and IDEMIA to bring convenient, on-site TSA PreCheck enrollment opportunities to our passengers,” said Matt Coughlin, Airport Executive Director at Pensacola International Airport. “Programs like this help us enhance the travel experience and make flying out of PNS even easier.”

Five-Day Enrollment Period Offers Local Access

The temporary enrollment center will operate at 2430 Airport Blvd., Suite 225, Pensacola, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. during the five-day period. IDEMIA, which has served as an authorized TSA PreCheck enrollment provider since 2013, will conduct the enrollment process for eligible applicants.

Details: U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents may apply for the program for $76.75 for a five-year membership. The enrollment process requires applicants to provide identity and citizenship documentation, submit to fingerprinting and photography, and complete payment of the application fee. Applicants who complete their initial application online prior to their appointment can expedite the in-person process.

  • According to TSA data, most applicants receive their Known Traveler Number within three to five days following their enrollment appointment. This number must be added to flight reservations to access TSA PreCheck benefits.

Background: TSA PreCheck, launched in October 2011, serves as a risk-based security initiative designed to expedite airport screening for pre-approved travelers. Current program statistics indicate that 99% of TSA PreCheck members experience wait times of 10 minutes or less in security screening lanes. The program provides access to dedicated screening lanes at more than 200 participating airports across the United States.

Pensacola International Airport serves over 3 million passengers annually with nonstop flights to more than 20 major cities across the United States. The airport functions as the primary gateway to Northwest Florida, Southeast Alabama, and Gulf Coast destinations.

Travelers unable to attend the August enrollment event may complete applications online and schedule appointments at any of IDEMIA’s 630+ enrollment centers nationwide through the TSA enrollment website. Additional program information is available at tsa.gov/precheck.
