    @ames….i’ll extend and say the people who think SOCOM or the SEALs would coordinate a rescue mission to coincide with the SOTU address are exactly the people the GOP is counting on in November…but, again, as i said in another forum if this mission had happened in 2006 FOX would be reporting that Dubya himself took point on the mission and was the first one through the door, locked and loaded and front sight focused…all those days he was supposedly in Crawford on vacation were just cover stories…Dubya was really secretly leading special ops missions…

    SEAL operations are not scheduled to be orchestrated with other events. The decision to give the order for the rescue was based on information about the deteriorating health status of one of the hostages. Anyone who would suggest or believe that a politician has the authority or power to put a SEAL mission on a clock, doesn’t know a SEAL.

    Is it a coincidence the hostages have been in the same location for months and the night of the state of the union, they are rescued?

    Hostages used for political gain? Nah, that wouldn’t happen.
