Senate President Don Gaetz wants the voters in each county to hold referendums on what type of gambling they want in their communities. The Florida Legislature will be looking to pass a more comprehensive set of laws regarding gambling that cleans up the patchwork that the state has now. If casinos are included, then Gaetz wants the voters in each county to make the decision. So for Pensacola Beach, Perdido Key or even downtown Pensacola it get a casino, there will have to be a county-wide referendum, if the senate president has his way.

Peter Schorsch believes that Charlie Crist will win the Florida governor’s race. Rick Scott’s likeability numbers are too low. He can’t buy the love of the voters.
