“You Play, We Pay!” Offers Up To $300 To Area Visitors

Press Release: Pensacola is bringing back its popular “You Play, We Pay!” promotion that offers visitors an American Express gift card valued at up to $300 for a stay of three days or longer.

“Visitors can register between now and Oct. 1 at VisitPensacola.com, make reservations in Pensacola and Pensacola Beach, enjoy their vacation and receive a gift card worth $50 or $100 per day for up to three days,” said Ed Schroeder, executive director of Visit Pensacola. “It’s an incredible deal and a way families can extend their summer vacation into fall or beat the back-to-school blues.”

Guests staying in Pensacola or Pensacola Beach at properties valued at $100 per night or more will be eligible for the $100 gift card and those staying at properties valued between $25 and $99.99 will receive a $50 gift card. Travel must be completed by Oct. 2, 2011 and cannot take place Sept. 3-4 of Labor Day weekend. Visitors must register on VisitPensacola.com before making reservations. Once the stay is completed or pre-paid, visitors can redeem their gift card at the Visitor Information Center in Pensacola or Pensacola Beach. The cards are activated immediately and can be used at the visitor’s discretion.

“This time of year is the perfect time to visit,” added Schroeder. “In late summer and fall, visitors will find fewer crowds, peaceful beaches and crisp blue skies. And during our promotion period, we’re hosting some outstanding events such as the annual Pensacola Seafood Festival, Gallery Night, Taste of the Beach and the Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival. We also have new restaurants and activities like paddleboarding.”
