Tropical Storm Isaac Update #5
Escambia County Information
ï‚· Escambia County is currently under a Tropical Storm Warning. We remain at Level 1 activation.
ï‚· Escambia County remains under a Local State of Emergency. The Board of County Commissioners declared the State of Emergency at 3:10 p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2012.
ï‚· Residents can call the Citizen Information Center (CIC), (850) 471-6600, for information.
ï‚· Baptist, Gulf Breeze, Jay and Atmore Community hospitals remain fully operational for hospitalized patients and emergency department services. Elective and diagnostic services at these facilities were suspended at 10 p.m. and will resume at Wednesday, August 29 at 5 a.m. Such services include those for physician appointments, physical therapy, lab and imaging. In addition, Andrews Institute and Baptist Medical Parks on Nine Mile Road and in Navarre will be closed with normal business hours resuming on
Wednesday morning.
ï‚· Pensacola Christian Academy will be closed on Tuesday, August 28.
ï‚· ARC Gateway, the ARC Nursery, Pearl Nelson Center, Pollak Training Center and
Pollak Industries will be closed Tuesday, August 28.
ï‚· The Pensacola Beach Visitors center will be closed on Tuesday, August 28 and
Wednesday, August 29.
ï‚· Santa Rosa Island Authority offices will be closed on Tuesday, August 28.
 EVACUATIONS – Escambia County has reduced its order of evacuation to Zone A only.
This includes the barriers islands of Perdido Key and Pensacola Beach as well as low- lying coastal areas. OTHER AREAS OF THE COUNTY ARE INCLUDED IN THIS EVACUATION ORDER. Please check www.bereadyescambia.com and use the address look up tool to confirm whether or not you are in an evacuation zone.
ï‚· All Escambia County offices, including the Tax Collector, the Property Appraiser, the Supervisor of Elections and the Health Department will be closed tomorrow.
ï‚· Escambia County is reducing available shelters to Pensacola High and West Florida High School.
ï‚· First Judicial Court Operations – including those at Blanchard, Bruno and COB buildings in Escambia County will be closed Tuesday, August 28. No decision has been made regarding Wednesday at this time.
