12th Annual Seagrass Awareness Celebration

Saturday, March 31 marks the 12th Annual Seagrass Awareness Celebration. The family event will feature live marine life in touch-tanks, games, fishing, kayaking, food and more. Unique activities such as making a shark tooth necklace and exploring a seagrass bed are what make this event. There’s even an “eat a seagrass bed” activity – you’ll have to find out for yourself what that is.

The Gulf Breeze Rotary Club will also be sponsoring their annual Gumbo Cook-Off. For $10,  taste test  each of the 20 teams’ gumbo.  Music and dancing add to mouth-watering fare.

Bring your friends and family for the full day of fun. Some tips for the celebration: bring a hat, water, sunscreen, water shoes and lawn chairs.
