16th annual Cram the Van launched

Cram the Van, the school-district approved supply drive, kicked off on June 17 in Escambia County. Celebrating 16 years of service, Cram the Van provides students with the tools necessary to succeed and reduces the stress on teachers who spend their own money to supplement materials in the classroom. By combining resources, our community can show a united effort as it supports our schools to ensure a brighter tomorrow.

Last year alone, our generous community distributed over $58,000 in supplies to 55 area schools across all grade levels. With sponsors including Sandy Sansing Dealerships, WEAR TV-3, My35 WFGX, Papa John’s Pizza, and United Way, this year’s drive promises to make a positive impact.

If you would like to be a part of Cram the Van this year, you can get involved in the following ways:

You may register your collection drive or sign up to volunteer by contacting Sarah Green, Educational Outreach Coordinator, at 850-434-3157 or cramthevan@unitedwayescambia.org.
