2nd Annual Uptown Pensacola Earth Day, April 12

Team Green World in conjunction with Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival will be presenting the 2nd Annual Uptown Pensacola Earth Day Celebration at Cordova Mall on Saturday, April 12, from noon to 5 p.m. in the Dillard’s wing of the mall.

New to this year’s event is a Recycled Art Contest with prizes. Students from elementary, middle and high schools within the Pensacola city limits are eligible to participate. Entry forms are available at their schools. All entries will be on display at the mall the week prior to the event and during the event.

Event schedule:
Noon – Awards Ceremony to present the winners of the Recycled Art Contest will kick off the event
12:30 – Team Green World Puppet Show
1:15 – Pensacola Dance Factory performs the “Lean Green Dancing Machine” dance. Audience
members will be able to join in after the performance to participate in the dance along with
Eco the Butterfly.
2:00- Earth Friendly original music from Nashville based Team Green World singer/songwriters.
4:00 – Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival showcases singer/songwriters as a preview to Pensacola
Beach Songfest that will be returning in October.

Local businesses, non-profit and civic organizations will be displaying their Eco Friendly products and services. Some of the participants include Roy Hyatt Environmental Center, Escambia County Forestry Division, City of Pensacola Sanitation, Francis M. Westin Audubon Society, Beekeepers Association, Pensacola Energy, Truly Spokin and many more interactive activities.

The Hyatt Place Pensacola Airport is the official hotel for Uptown Pensacola Earth Day Concert again this year. “We are proud to be a part of this 2nd Annual event,” said Amanda Holtzhower, Hyatt Place Sales Manager and HR Coordinator.

Team Green World President Donna Bukevicz said, “Our Nashville based singer/songwriters are looking forward to returning to Pensacola. One of our new additions this year, David Petrelli, has been appearing on the hit show “Nashville” as the piano player in Rayna Jaymes’ band.”
