2nd Annual William H. “Bill” Marshall “Back To School” Parade And Picnic

Pensacola will once again recognize William H. “Bill” Marshall for his life-long contribution in the areas of ministry, education, community and civic involvement. Movement for Change Presents: The William H. “Bill” Marshall Back to School Parade and Picnic. This year’s theme is “Perform, Achieve and Succeed.”

The parade and picnic will again provide local youngsters with a positive start for the new school year. On Saturday, August 28, 2010 starting at 5:00 p. m., the parade will be a 1.5 mile celebration which will travel from Haynes and Gonzalez Streets turn right on Davis Highway to Magee Field. The parade’s Grand Marshal will be Educator and Civic Leader Celestine Lewis. A family style picnic will follow immediately after with performers, food and fun. The focus of the festivities will be on educating our youth on the importance of staying in school, working hard and being a success in life.
