5-2-1-0 Day on Saturday, Nov. 5

The 5-2-1-0 Day of Play event hosted by the City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County and the 5-2-1-0 Northwest Florida program will take place on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Community Maritime Park.

Families are encouraged to turn off their computers, tablets and televisions to head outdoors, get active and play! 5-2-1-0 Day of Play invites residents and visitors in Northwest Florida to experience a day of activities to learn more about ways that families and individuals can live healthier and more active lifestyles.

Businesses and organizations within the Northwest Florida region will host interactive games, giveaways, and demonstrations that encourage guests to adopt four key behaviors to promote healthy eating and active living that fulfill the 5-2-1-0 campaign to:

  • Eat 5 or more servings of fruits and vegetables each day
  • Limit 2 hours or less of daily screen time
  • Play 1 hour or be active for at least one hour each day
  • Drink 0 sugary drinks which include sodas, sports drinks, fruit drinks and juice
