At least 170 Escambia County high school seniors may not receive their diplomas this spring after failing portions of the 10th-grade Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test in their last stab at the exam before graduation.
218 students retook the Reading test and only 22 percent passed. 72 students retook the Math test and only 31 percent passed.
For the entire state:
Of 22,925 seniors who took the reading test, 4,585, or 20 percent, passed. Of 8,540 seniors who took the math test, 2,220, or 26 percent, passed.
