PR Spoof For BP

Earlier this week, a Twitter account surfaced that took the name of BP Global PR. CNN reported today that the oil giant is aware of the account, but was sure people would know it was not serious. I’m still undecided on which is funnier, the Twitter spoof or the company’s real life PR ploys.

Here are some of the Tweets:

“We’ve been told @Alyssa_Milano loves our tweets. I guess that officially makes us the boss. #bpcares #bpistheboss

“I’m sorry, are people mad at us for drilling in the ocean?!? Maybe God shouldn’t have put oil there in the first place. DUH. #bpcares

“We just saw a shark fight an octopus inside the geyser. Almost made this whole thing worth it.”

“Bonfire/Boat Party tonight in the gulf. No fatties, BYOB.”
