From our public records request, we have copies of the invoices from DRC Emergency Services, who has been hired by Escambia County. The Mobile, Ala. contractor also was hired after Hurricane Ivan.
DRC invoiced Escambia County on May 31, 2010:
$1,238,893.35 to “Furnish, Install & Maintain 18″ Hard Containment Boom.” Over the period of 5/4/2010 to 5/31/2010: 20,000 linear feet were placed at daily rate of $2.42, and $6000 was charged for monthly rental staging.
Another Hurricane Ivan contractor is back– Beck Disaster Recovery (formerly RW Beck), they billed on June 4 the county $235,492.69:
