Aquarium gets its delay

Daily newspaper reports that Bill Young and his group raised $50K in commitments to pay for his feasibility study. Yesterday the ECUA Citizen Advisory Committee voted 8-2 to ask the utility to delay the bid opening for the demolition of the Main Street plant for two months. The board will vote on the recommendation at its Jan. 27 meeting.

Young will need to turn commitments into cash quickly and hire his engineers. Sixty days will pass by fast.
