Lies and lack of substance kill aquairum

The ECUA Board voted 4-1 to not delay the demolition of the Main Street Sewage Plant. For over a year, Bill Young has promoted his idea—a world-class aquarium built using the old storage tanks at the plant. He didn’t know if the idea was feasible economically or technologically. He didn’t have the money to build it or do the feasibility study. He didn’t have the support of any elected council, commission or board. No one on the state or federal level committed to funding any part of it. He had signatures, but could not tell anyone how many were residents of Pensacola or Escambia County.

Bill Young had an idea. That’s all—which isn’t enough for a project of his magnitude.
