Jerry’s Cajun will return

Hi Rick,

I hope all is well with you. I saw you the other night on your TV show, and loved the ideas you had about our downtown area. I so love Pensacola, having been a resident here for 22 years, and keep waiting for a this great area to be used to its full potential. You have some wonderful ideas, I just hope that someone listens to them and gives them a look.

I was so happy to see that Quint Studer and supporters, finally got to put their plans in motion. This will help this great community very much. Speaking of community, I wanted to thank Pensacola and all of the people who responded with such love and support for me after the horrible fire at my restaurant (Jerry’s Cajun Cafe) on February 27th.

Billy Clark and Terry Gartman went above and beyond to put together a fund raiser for my 50 employees who had lost their jobs so unexpectedly. They raised over $5000 for my staff, who were blown away by the outreach of love and support by total strangers.

I thank you, they thank you and God will continue to bless you for this unselfish and loving act of kindness. Thank you also to Covenant Hospice and everyone who volunteered to help my wonderful employees. The fire destroyed about 40% of the building, causing about $800,000.00 in damage.

We hope to reopen this summer, around August, and will have one heck of “Grand Re-Opening”. You can check our website for updates: www.jerryscajun.com

Thank you very much for all your love, prayers and hugs.
You are the best!

Jerry Mistretta
