Daily News reported last week that the FBI and a federal grand jury are investigating former House Speaker Ray Sansom. At least part of the investigation appears to be centered on his spending and his travel while he was in the Legislature.
Rep. Matt Gaetz confirmed that his office received a subpoena for his office staff to testify before the grand jury. Katie Betta, spokeswoman for House Speaker Dean Cannon, also confirmed that the Florida State House Office of Legislative Services also received a federal subpoena.
