Press Release: FavorHouse of Northwest Florida, a not-for-profit organization providing shelter and services to domestic violence victims and counseling to batterers in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, recently elected its Board of Directors for 2011-2012.
Returning as officers for the board are: Susan Woolf, president; Kimberly Tatum, vice-president; Sena Maddison, secretary; Steven Griffin, treasurer; and Renee Wilhoit, assistant treasurer. New board members are: Dr. Evon Horton, Dr. Laura Koppes Bryan, Betty Yappa, and Lisa York. Returning board members are: Capt. David Alexander, Rhonda Alexander, Ann Bernard, Pat Brown, Kathie Geyer, Megan Hall, Dr. Richard Hough, Sr., Arelia Laster, Mark Lee, Angie Mercer-Mattson, Beth Parsons, Martha Perez, Chief Chip Simmons, William H. Stafford, Sue Straughn, Paul Wallis and Donna Sessions Waters.
In 2010, FavorHouse provided 498 women and children with 8,913 nights of safe shelter and counseled 1,456 victims.
