The News Herald, Panama City’s daily newspaper, is discontinuing, effective tomorrow, its anonymous commenting system in favor of one tied to Facebook. To comment you must have a Facebook account.
“This isn’t the result of some court ruling or judge,” wrote Mike Cazalas, editor of The News Herald on their website. “It is, we believe, the next right step for us to take. What we hope it will do is mark a return to civility.”
