Last week the release of the old school Nike Air Jordan Concords sparked a considerable deal of violence nationwide. In the nearly thirty year history of the shoe, there has been a lot of violence and criminal behavior surrounding the brand. Â Jordan has never seen it necessary to condemn the violence or even ask for it to stop. Â Nike has never considered making more of the shoes available to retailers, either.
ESPN Writer Jemele Hill criticized Jordan for not coming forward and posed a very good question about the violence:Â Â Â I wonder if some of these same people who camped out overnight for some shoes would do the same if a free education were being offered?
