Would you trust BP to drill in the Arctic Circle?


Not me. BP–which has come to stand for Bulls$%t Petroleum– has proven that it is a serial polluter (if not a serial killer).

According to news reports, BP, Shell and Cairn Energy are on the draft list of companies to be called to give evidence to the British Government’s Environmental Audit Committee in the spring for its Protecting the Arctic inquiry. The Telegraph reports: “MPs are to question UK oil and gas companies on the safety of drilling in the Arctic, after fears that retreating ice will see a damaging rush to exploit billions of barrels of untapped reserves in the region.”

Just think what BP can get away with if it’s operating miles away from media and public scrutiny and without any government entity to regulate its actions…
