Publix offer walk-in medical clinics

South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that Publix in Wellington, FL now has a walk-in medical clinic inside its store. It’s the latest trend.

More than 20 U.S. companies opened about 350 store-based clinics by the end of 2006, since the first one opened in 2000, according to Tine Hansen-Turton, executive director of the Convenient Care Association, a trade organization representing walk-in healthcare facilities or convenient care clinics.
