Escambia County has its proposed budget up on the web – Proposed Budget for FY 2007/2008$415,581,059.

Santa Rosa County’s link is 2007-2008 Tentative Budget Information $104,088,414.

Okaloosa County: Proposed 2007-08 Budget$312,971,923.

Escambia County’s proposed budget is just $1.48 million less than Santa Rosa and Okaloosa county’s combined.

Escambia County’s population (per 2006 US Census Bureau estimates) is 295,426. Our county government is costing us $1,406.72 per citizen.

Santa Rosa population: 144,561 – $720.03 per person.

Okaloosa population: 180,291 – $1,732.93 per person.
