Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen apologized this afternoon for saying that at Ann Romney had “never worked a day in her life” during a CNN interview last night. Ann Romney of course responded quickly (on Fox this morning and then did a pretty good job in keeping the tweets coming) but the Obama camp did much to distance themselves too: Michelle Obama, David Axelrod and Jim Messina tweeted and the Democratic Party was quick to claim that its current contract with Rosen’s political consulting firm was primarily with another partner , and that Ms. Rosen had no formal role on the account. SOURCE: NY TIMES
