Reynolds Responds (see documentation)

Pensacola City Administrator Bill Reynolds said he believes that the Sunshine Law accusation being levied against him will be proved unfounded.

Earlier this month, Pensacola City Councilwoman Maren DeWeese raised questions concerning Sunshine Law violations. She contends that Reynolds violated the state’s open-government law and acted as a conduit of communication—via e-mails—between members of the city’s Parks and Recreation board. City Attorney Jim Messer has forwarded the matter to State Attorney Bill Eddins.

“As with any claim of, essentially law breaking, we need to take a look at it,” Reynolds said.

The city administrator declined to discuss specifics because the matter is currently under investigation.

“I will say I’m very confident I did nothing wrong,” Reynolds summarized.
