Touart: Fire me. I dare you.

grumpy

“Former” County Administrator George Touart wants to come back to work. His attorney says that he only offered to retired because County Atty Janet Lander said the Commissioners Gene Valentino, Kevin White and Marie Young agreed to let him stay on the payroll until April 2008.

Of course, Lander has a different view. Any such agreement that would have modified Touart’s employment contract must be in writing to be binding. There is no such document, according to Lander.

Looks like the Commissioners may have to fire Touart after all.
