When do news crews cross the line from keeping viewers informed about Isaac to just scaring the crap out of people?

Just left my 82 year old mother who is in a panic after watching the tv news since 5 am. Got her calmed down and got her to change the channel.

Who knows how much she will order on QVC today? LOL
