Five kilos headed for Pensacola caught in Gulfport traffic stop

The Sun Herald reports Harrison County deputies arrested a Mexican woman on Monday and found five one-kilo packets of cocaine stashed in a hidden compartment in her vehicle.

Sara Elisa Ceron, 30, entered the U.S. at Brownsville, Texas on Sunday. She was pulled over outside of Gulfport on I-10 for careless driving. She told authorities that she was stopping in Gulfport briefly to pick up relatives for a trip to the beach in Pensacola, according the newspaper.

Ceron told police the packages and compartment concealing them were in the vehicle before she bought the car, claiming to have never seen them before. She was arrested for drug trafficking.
