Rep. Matt Gaetz failed to support the Kinder-Guardian program, “an intensive three-week introduces specially selected children from 12 to 4 years old to pistols, rifles, semiautomatics and a rudimentary knowledge of mortars.”
The program is an invention of Sacha Baron Cohen who tricked several GOP leaders and NRA supporters for his Showtime show Who Is America?

When asked to support the program that could turn a first-grader to a hand grenader, Gaetz asked, “You want me to say on television that I support 3- and 4-year-olds with firearms? Is that what you’re asking me to do?â€
He didn’t endorse it.
