Both President Biden and former President Trump secured enough delegates last night to clinch their primaries.

Why this matters: The Florida GOP presidential primary next week is officially meaningless. Through yesterday, Escambia County’s voter turnout is at 10.58% – 10,037 votes cast.

Dig Deeper: This is the first presidential rematch since 1958.

The earliest both major parties wrapped up their nominations was in 2000: George W. Bush and Al Gore both clinched on March 9 — 243 days before Election Day, Pew Research Center found.
