Howard Reddy Leaving UWF

The University of West Florida announced Howard Reddy, vice president for University Advancement, has accepted the role of vice president of University Advancement, president and CEO of the Foundation at East Tennessee State University. Reddy led the most successful capital campaign in UWF’s history, “Here for Good.” The campaign broke all records in 2024, raising $31.4 million. This past, Reddy raised more $15.7 million.

Reddy come to UWF in 2012 as served as assistant vice president for university advancement and taught in UWF’s music and theatre departments from 2012 to 2015. He is a former Fulbright Scholar, holds a law degree from University College Dublin in Ireland, and a music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.

Since being promoted to vice president for University Advancement 2018, Reddy has also served as the president of the UWF Foundation, Inc. and the chief executive officer of the UWF Historic Trust. In his capacity as vice president, he leads executive efforts for university advancement, overseeing the university’s development, alumni relations, UWF Foundation operations, the Historic Trust, Institutional Communications, and WUWF Public Media.

Welcome Tori Bennett

Interim President Manny Diaz has appointed Tori Bennett has been appointed as interim vice president for University Advancement. Bennett has been with University Advancement since 2014, is a double UWF alumna (BA in journalism, 2012; MS in administration – leadership, 2016), and was captain of UWF’s 2012 NCAA DII National Championship women’s soccer team. Under Reddy, Bennett has served as executive director of development at UWF, managing the Offices of Donor Relations and Advancement Services, leading fundraising for the Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering, the Usha Kundu, MD College of Health, School of Education, and supporting the Retired Employees Association.

“Howard has been instrumental in advancing UWF’s mission and strengthening our relationships with alumni and donors, and we wish him continued success in his next chapter,” Diaz said in a written statement. “I’m equally excited to welcome Tori Bennett as interim vice president. She brings deep experience, energy and passion for UWF, and I am confident she will continue to build on our momentum and lead the University Advancement team with distinction.”

Raising Capital Goal

In the same press release, Diaz announced that he was increasing the goal for the “Here for Good” capital campaign from $90 million to $100 million.

He said, “By increasing our goal to $100 million, we’re not just building on momentum – we’re reaffirming our commitment to creating opportunities that will impact students, faculty and our region for years to come.”
