A documentary produced locally has been selected for two international film festivals. “A Beautiful Struggle: The Man & The Madness†details the life of Jonathan Green, a 2018 Pensacola mayoral candidate and social justice advocate.
In the documentary produced by JusB Solutions, LLC and J. Garrett Green & Associates, LLC of Pensacola, Green’s life is described by including his original #trauma, through his various encounters with law enforcement, to his diagnoses of PTSD and bipolar disorder. He has overcome many obstacles and has displayed tremendous resilience to continue achieving success.
On July 16, “A Beautiful Struggle: The Man & The Madness†will be screened at the International Black & Diversity Film Festival in Toronto, Canada. From Sept. 18-25, the documentary will be screened at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival.
In his press release, Green wrote that through this film, he hopes to encourage dialogue on mental health and the traumas suffered through escalated police encounters.
