State Rep. Alex Andrade has shared communications from Jae Williams sent to pro-life groups around the state, trying to fire them up to protest Andrade’s Health Care Budget Subcommittee meeting this afternoon. Williams even suggests the messages to put on protest signs.

The issue at hand is that Florida State Representative Alex Andrade (R-Milton) is the Chair for the House Budget Subcommittee on Healthcare. Rep. Andrade’s law firm, where he is a partner, is representing Planned Parenthood in the case brought against it by the State of Florida. In short, Rep. Andrade is actively receiving a paycheck funded by Planned Parenthood.
Subsequently, the House has failed to allocate any meaningful funding to the FPCN thus far. Any funding for FPCN would come out of Rep. Andrade’s subcommittee.
Even though Rep. Andrade has been called out on his clear conflict of interest, he has doubled down that he doesn’t see one and the Speaker of the Florida House, Danny Perez, has failed to hold him accountable.
Tomorrow, at 4pm, Rep. Andrade’s subcommittee is scheduled to meet for the LAST time, with almost three weeks left in Session. There is more than enough time to tackle big issues, and fund the FPCN. Again, just because FPCN is named in statute does not mean it automatically receive annual funding.

Who is Jae Williams?
A former Catholic seminary student who worked part-time in customer service at Publix for six years. After 15 months in the seminary, Williams took a 30-hour FSUonline master’s degree designed for non-lawyers to gain legal knowledge without becoming attorneys, while working for the Florida Department of Health under Surgeon General Joseph A. Ladapo – first as an assistant press secretary and rising to director of communications in two years.
