Americans for Prosperity attack Senate LIP plan

Americans for Prosperity, conservative political advocacy groups established by David and Charles Koch, released a new ad today to fight the Florida Senate’s plan to provide health care to low-income, uninsured Floridians. It’s title is “Medicaid is wrong for Florida.”

“The Florida Senate’s Medicaid expansion plan is wrong for Florida,” said AFP state director, Chris Hudson. “The only thing that is certain is that Florida families who depend on this already bloated program will have an even harder time getting care and, like other states’ expansions, it could cost billions more than expected, ultimately forcing legislators to raise taxes or make cuts from other essential services.”
