And then there was one

And that one is Dave Murzin.

As soon as W.D. Childers left the state legislature, its leaders set up the Panhandle districts to keep weaken Escambia County’s representation. All the districts were craved up to include portions of Santa Rosa and, in some cases, Okaloosa and Walton counties.

Of course, Escambia County’s declining population (or, at least slower growing) didn’t help.

Both our state senators – Gaetz & Peaden – live in Okaloosa County. The only state representative with an Escambia County residence is Dave Murzin and he is vulnerable to a good candidate from Pace.

…..until Escambia County gets its act together – on education, jobs, economy, affordable housing, healthcare and literacy – expect little change. Okaloosa County and its leaders aren’t going to give up their power in Tallhassee easily.
