More than 400 cyclists from around the region are expected to participate in the West Florida Wheelmen Cycling Club’s Annual Fenner Ride in Milton, Florida, on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 8 a.m.
The Century ride is in conjunction with the Beaches to Woodlands Tour in Santa Rosa County and begins at the Milton Community Center at 5629 Byrom St., Milton, Fla. The ride routes will start from the Blackwater Heritage Trail and are broken down into four distances of 18, 40, 62, and 100 miles.
Early-registration is $45 and includes t-shirt, fully supported rest stops, limited sag support, and post-ride meal. Registration on the day of the race begins at 7:00 a.m. at the Milton Community Center. Early registration ends October 13; thereafter the registration fee is $55 (t-shirts are only guaranteed for the first 400 riders). Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida has been the area’s leader in one-to-one youth service for 25 years by providing caring, adult mentors to children ages 6 to 18. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast serves youth ages 5 to 18 by providing guidance-oriented character development programs conducted by trained, youth development professionals. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast encompasses seven clubs and serves over 1,950 youth across Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties.
The Blackwater Heritage State Trail Support Organization provides support to the State Trail promoting events and activities that generate and foster its use.
